Hifz 2010 – M.Zuhair Khan

Asalamu alaikum

My 2010 hifz examination was one of the best experiences thus far. This being my second year gave me a bit more confidence to undertake the challenge and task expected of me. Preparing for the external examinations was challenging as it clashed with the school exams, however this did not deter me.  Knowing that the external examiner was Shaykh Sa’dullah Khan made me anxious.

On the day of the exams I was filled with mixed emotions of nervousness and anticipation.  The criteria in which we were examined and tested was of an extremely high standard which comprised of tajwid, rhythm, memorization and fluency. I was tested on Juz 29 (Tabarakh) and on completion  I felt confident that I had done my Mualims proud.

My message to any person wanting to do Hifz is to Never give up. Remember that you will never be given a load which you cannot carry.
